Rey Martínez promises more big hits are on the cards

After the resounding thunderbolt triumph over Moisés Calleros last Saturday in which he won by a blasting second round TKO, WBC flyweight champion Julio Cesar “Rey” Martinez, said that he expected a much sturdier rival, but no matter the rights or wrongs, he went at it hammer and tongs.

For Rey it was very important to come out with a resounding victory because this opens the doors to the really big cards and therefore to better purses, which he hopes will happen soon, since having the future of his family assured is a priority for him. So the best must be the rest.

When asked about future plans, Rey assured that for the moment he feels strong in the flyweight division, but he does not deny  the possibility  on climbing uo to super flyweight. However, this is an issue that he should discuss with his team and promoter.

Finally, he thanked all his audience for always being keen supporters of his career and giving him their undivided attention plus support. He rounded off the meeting with his well-known catchphrase: “With everything but fear.”
