For his stellar sports career, which is a beacon constellation for national and international boxing, Olympic medalist of Munich 1972, Alfonso Zamora was recognized by Senator Israel Zamora.
“I feel very happy to be here in the Senate and to receive this recognition,” said Zamora, who recalled his professional boxer times with joy.
“Without a doubt, my fight against Carlos Zárate was the most important in my career, the war of the Z, I remember it very well for the records that we both Mexicans. I have always given my all to my sport and I still do!”
Before 300 people, Senator Israel Zamora thanked him for his presence and praised him as a shining example to the up-and-coming generations.
“I want the 4 and 6 Rounds kids to have many opportunities, so that they can see their dreams fulfilled. I am doing it in Aguascalientes and hopefully even more people than ard here today can join to support them too.”
