One day like today, Kuniaki Shibata retained his WBC title

August 3rd,  1974.- Kuniaki Shibata, from Japan, conserved the WBC super featherweight title, stopping Ecuadorian, Ramiro Bolaños in the fifteenth round. The fight was at the Auditorium of the Nihon University in Tokyo, Japan. The Mexican Referee, Anselmo Escobedo, stopped the action two minutes 29 seconds of that final round. The Judges were Takeo Ugo and Akimitsu Sasaki.
