1976.- Japanese Royal Kobayashi defended his WBC super bantamweight title by knocking out Panamanian Rigoberto Riasco in the eighth round. The fight took place in Tokyo, Japan.

1987.- At the Zenith Palais in Paris, France, Mexican José Luis Ramírez defended his WBC lightweight title by knocking out Ugandan Cornelius Boza-Edwards in the fifth round.

2005.- In Tokyo, Japan, Thai Pongsaklek Wonjongkam knocked out Japanese Daisuke Naito in 7 rounds. In this fight the WBC flyweight title was disputed.

2009.- At the Yoyogi #2 Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japanese Toshiaki Nishioka defended his WBC super bantamweight title by knocking out the Mexican Iván Hernández in 3 rounds.

2015.- Venezuelan Jorge Linares defended his WBC lightweight title by knocking out Mexican Iván Cano in the fourth round. This fight took place in Caracas, Venezuela.
