1971.- Japanese Yoshiaki Numata was crowned WBC super featherweight champion by defeating Australian Lionel Rose by decision. The match took place at the Hiroshima Prefectural Gymnasium, Japan.

1981.- Ugandan Cornelius Boza Edwards knocked out American Bobby Chacon in the 14th round at the Showboat Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. With this victory Cornelius defended his WBC super featherweight title.

1987.- The legendary heavyweight Mike Tyson knocked out Pinklon Thomas in 6 rounds, defending his WBC title, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

2009.- American Andre Berto won his WBC welterweight title by defeating Colombian Juan Urango by decision. The match took place in Hollywood, Florida.

2015.- Venezuelan Jorge Linares knocked out British Kevin Mitchell in the tenth round in Greenwich, London. With this win Linares successfully defended his WBC lightweight title.
