1991.- Mexican Ricardo “Finito” López defended his WBC straw-weight title by knocking out Japanese Kimio Hirano in 8 rounds, in Shizuoka, Japan.

2000.- Filipino Malcolm Tunacao knocked out Thai Medgoen Singsurat in 7 rounds in Udonthani, Thailand. In this fight the WBC flyweight title was at stake.

2007.- Jermain Taylor defended his WBC middleweight title by defeating Cory Spinks by decision in Memphis, Tennessee.

2018.- In a bout between Americans, Gary Russell Jr. defended his WBC featherweight title by defeating Joseph Diaz by decision in Oxon Hill, Maryland.

2018.- Canadian Adonis Stevenson defended his WBC light heavyweight title by drawing against Swedish Badou Jack. The match took place in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
