1986.- In a match between North American warriors, Trevor Berbick defeated Pinklon Thomas by decision in an entertaining bout, defending his WBC heavyweight title. The fight took place at the Riviera Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
1997.- In a great fight, Genaro “Chicanito” Hernández defeated Ghanaian Azumah Nelson by decision in Corpus Christi, Texas. In this fight the WBC super featherweight title was at stake.
