
1980.- At the Kelvin Hall of Glasgow, Scotland, local southpaw Jim Watt, defeated Northern Ireland southpaw Charlie Nash, by TKO in the fourth. With this triumph in a battle of hardmen, Jim successfully defended his WBC lightweight crown. It ended at minute 2 with 10 seconds of the mentioned round. Jim was knocked down hard in the first round. But Charlie himself visited the canvass thrice in the 4th round. The Referee was Sid Nathan, and the Judges were James Brimmell and John Coyle.
1998.- Jamaican Keith Mullings knocked out Italian Davide Ciarlante in 5 rounds, at the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, New Jersey. With this victory Mullings defended his WBC super welterweight title.
2015.- Russian Sergey Kovalev knocked out Canadian Jean Pasca in the eighth round in Montreal, Canada. With this victory Kovalev won the WBC diamond belt.
