1988.- Mexican José Luis Ramírez defended his WBC lightweight title, defeating the American Pernell Whitaker, in Paris, France.

2005.- German Markus Beyer defended his WBC super middleweight title by defeating Australian Danny Green, in a match held in Zwuickau, Germany.

2009.- Japanese Hozumi Hasegawa knocked out South African Vusi Malinga in the first round, defending his WBC bantamweight title. The match took place in Kobe, Japan.

2009.- In Tokyo, Japan, local fighter Takahiro Aoh defeated Mexican Oscar “Chololo” Larios by decision, defending his WBC featherweight title.

2011.- Argentine Sergio “Maravilla” Martínez defeated Ukrainian Sergei Dzindiziruk by knockout in 8 rounds in Mashantucket, Connecticut. With this victory Maravilla won the WBC Diamond belt.
