1980.- At the Munhwa Gymnasium in Seoul, Korea, Panamanian Hilario Zapata defended his WBC light flyweight title, defeating Korean Chibok Kim by decision.

1980.- At Ibrox Park in Glasgow, Scotland, British Jim Watt defeated American Howard Davis by decision. The WBC lightweight title was at stake in this bout.

1992.- Mexican Humberto “Chiquita” González defended his WBC light flyweight title, knocking out Korean Kwangsun Kim in the twelfth round.

1996.- American Oscar De La Hoya technically knocked out Mexican Julio César Chávez in Las Vegas, Nevada. The WBC super lightweight title was at stake in the fight.

2008.- At Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, American Kelly Pavlik defended his WBC middleweight title, knocking out British Gary Lockett in the third round.

2008.- In an entertaining fight between North American fighters, Sergio Mora defeated Vernon Forrest by decision in Uncasville, Connecticut. In this fight the WBC welterweight title.

2014.- Puerto Rican Miguel Cotto conquered the WBC middleweight title, by knocking out Argentine Sergio “Maravilla” Martínez in the ninth round. The combat took place at Madison Square Garden in New York.

2022.- In Saitama, Japan, the local fighter Naoya Inoue won the WBC bantamweight title by knocking out Filipino Nonito Donaire in the second round.
