1968.- At the Coney Beach Arena, in Porthcawl, Wales, Cuban Jose Legra was crowned WBC featherweight champion by knocking out British Howard Winstone in 5 rounds.

1982.- Mexican Freddy Castillo defeated Colombian Prudencio Cardona by decision in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico. The WBC flyweight title was on the line in this fight.

1986.- Japanese Tsuyoshi Hamada knocked out Mexican Rene Arredondo in the first round in Tokyo, Japan. In this fight the WBC super lightweight title was at stake.

1988.- Korean Yong Kang Kim conquered the WBC flyweight title by defeating Thai Sot Chitalada by decision, in Pohang, South Korea.

2004.- American Arturo Gatti knocked out Leonard Dorine in the second round in Atlantic City, New Jersey, defending his WBC super lightweight title.
