1980.- American Matthew.Saad Muhammad defended his WBC light heavyweight title by knocking out Mexican Alvaro López in 14 rounds, in New Jersey, U.S.A.

1990.- In Patinoire d’Annecy, Annecy, France, American Terry Norris defeated French Rene Jacquot by decision, defending his WBC super welterweight title.

2007.- Mexican Cristian Mijares knocked out Japanese Teppei Kikui in the tenth round, defending his WBC super flyweight title. The match took place at the Auditorio Centenario de Gómez Palacio, Durango, Mexico.

2019.- Mexican Rey Vargas defeated Tomoki Kameda by decision in Carson, California. In this fight the WBC super bantamweight title was at stake.
