1987.- Puerto Rican Carlos De León knocked out Italian Angelo Rottoli in 5 rounds in Bergamo, Italy, defending his WBC cruiserweight title.

1989.- Dennis Andries from Guyana, defeated American Tony Willis by knockout in 5 rounds in a bout held in Tucson, Arizona. With this win Andries defended his WBC light heavyweight title.

1998.- Cuban Juan Carlos Gomez defeated Argentine Marcelo Dominguez by decision, in Mar del Plata, Argentina, conquering the WBC cruise title.

2003.- Wayne Braithwaite from Guyana, knocked out in the fourth round American Ravea Springs in Miami, Florida, defending his WBC cruiserweight title.

2009.- In Youngstown, Ohio, American Kelly Pavlik knocked out Marco Antonio Rubio in the ninth round, defending his WBC middleweight title.

2015.- Kazakh Gennady Golovkin defended his interim WBC middleweight title, by knocking out British Martin Murray in 11 rounds, at Monte Carlo, Monaco.
