2008.- Mexican Oscar “Chololo” Larios knocked out Nicaraguan Marlon Aguilar in the seventh round in Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico. The WBC featherweight title was on the line in this bout.

2005.- At the Juan Pachín Vicéns Auditorium in Ponce, Puerto Rico, Nicaraguan Juan Palacios conquered the WBC straw title by knocking out Puerto Rican Omar Soto in the tenth round.

2016.- Thai Wanheng Menayothin defended the WBC straw-weight title by defeating the Mexican Saúl Juárez by decision. The match took place in Chonburi, Thailand.
