1969.- American Joe Frazier knocked out his compatriot Dave Zyglewicz in the first round, winning the WBC heavyweight title. The match took place in Houston, Texas.

1978.- At the Ariston Theater in San Remo, Italy, Argentine Hugo Pastor Corro defeated Colombian Rodrigo Valdez by decision, winning the WBC middle title.

1979.-In a fight between Americans, Matthew Saad Muhammad knocked out Marvin Johnson in 8 rounds in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this fight the WBC light heavyweight title was at stake.

2001.- American Hasim Rahman knocked out British Lennox Lewis in 5 rounds in Brakpan, South Africa. In this fight the WBC heavyweight title was ion the line.

2017.- In a fight held in Brooklyn, New York, Jermell Charlo defended his WBC super welterweight title, knocking out Charles Hatley in the sixth round.
