1996.- Frenchman Jean Baptiste Mendy won the WBC lightweight title, defeating American Lamar Murphy by decision, in a match held at the Palais Marcel Cerdan, Levallois-Perret, France.

2002.- At the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, American Floyd Mayweather defeated Mexican José Luis Castillo by decision. The WBC lightweight title was at stake in this match.

2013.- In a fight between Mexican warriors, Victor “Vikingo” Terrazas defeated Cristian Mijares by decision, winning the WBC super bantamweight title. The bout took place at the Arena Ciudad de Mexico.

2013.- In San Antonio, Texas, Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez defeated American Austin Trout by decision, defending his WBC super welterweight title.
