Pow Wow, as this elite facility in Spain will be run by former boxer turned trainer Ricky Pow, with his tremendous expertise in boxing leading to him becoming a WBC representative.
The gym has already proven extremely popular in the past, with the likes of Ricky Burns, John Ryder, Kevin Mitchell, and Cecilia Braekhus having previously had training camps there, and Pow is excited to now see it go from strength to strength as MTK Costa Blanca.
Pow said: “I am very pleased to be teaming up and working together alongside MTK Global. They are making big moves in the boxing world and I feel with my experiences and knowledge of boxing in Spain and the UK that this partnership will be great for both parties.
“We have a fully functional boxing gym equipped for all levels including, beginners, amateurs & professional boxing. We have former amateur and professional kickboxer Hristo Ivanov running kids and adults amateur boxing & kickboxing classes.
“We have good strong and dedicated amateurs coming through and having a partnership with MTK Global can bring great opportunities and recognition for boxing in this area and hopefully move it to the next level.”
MTK Global Commercial Director Jack Johnstone added: “This is another fantastic announcement for the future of Spanish boxing.
“Alicante and the surrounding areas have produced a number of great fighters over recent years and we look forward to building this with Ricky and his team.”
