‘Monster” demonstrating commitment for unification match with scowling  “Cheshire Cat”

Naoya Inoue will attempt to become the undisputed world bantamweight champion, when he takes on Paul Butler at Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan on Tuesday, December 13, with the event be promoted by Ohashi Promotion and Teiken Promotions in association with Probellum.

WBC, IBF and WBA bantamweight champion Inoue, one of the best and most exciting boxers today, put in an exceptionally impressive performance defeating Nonito Donaire in June.

Butler (34-2, 15 KOs), of Cheshire, England, won the WBO title in April with a unanimous points win over Jonas Sultan.

Inoue is undergoing a grueling  training camp for this long-awaited fight and has done sparring sessions with great Japanese fighters, such as Kosei Tanaka.

A few days ago, Inoue and Tanaka completed a total of 8 rounds of sparring, 4 rounds each, over 2 days, in preparation for the unification match where Inoue could make history in Japanese boxing.
