Mitigating circumstances- Fulton vs. Inoue postponed until July

This Wednesday at the Ohashi Boxing Gym in the city of Yokohama, there was a press conference organized by the former Japanese world champion Hideyuki Ohashi, who is the manager and promoter of the undefeated former champion Naoya “Monster” Inoue.

On March 3, it was officially announced that Naoya “Monster” Inoue would fight undefeated American champion Stephen Fulton (21-0, 8KOs) for the WBC super-bantamweight world title at the Yokohama Arena in Yokohama on May 7. Ohashi reported that Naoya Inoue vs. Stephen Fulton had to be postponed to July, due to an injury Inoue suffered in one of his fists in training.
According to the medical inspection result, Inoue did not suffer a fracture but has inflammation and it will take about a month to fully recover.
