On Saturday, May 4, World Boxing Council middleweight champion Mexican Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (50-1-2, 34 Ko’s), will defend his crown against American Daniel “Miracle Man” Jacobs (35- 2, 29 ko’s), at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, during the “Cinco de Mayo” weekend festivities.
Jacobs from Brooklyn, New York is preparing as never before. At 31 years, old and despite having been out of the sport for 19 months due to suffering a form of bone cancer that he bravely defeated, Jacobs has been offering up and dishing out impressive performances.
“This is the opportunity I’ve been waiting for. The opportunity to achieve greatness within the ring. It’s been an excellent training camp, I’m sure I can beat Canelo to establish myself as the best middleweight in the world, ” stressed Jacobs.
