Sports Tech Nation, powered by Colosseum, is an annual international summit bringing together prominent leaders from the sports industry, during which the latest trends are discussed, and sports organizations and investors are given the opportunity to get acquainted with companies interested in the sports industry.
For the 2021 edition, World Boxing Council President Mauricio Sulaimán, was one of the guests.
In his participation, he highlighted important points about world of boxing and the evolution that the sport is having day by day and how it has approached new generations.
“After the pandemic, it is time to look forward and continue working for the good of sport. We have all had to adapt and make changes; and boxing was no exception. One of our main challenges is to continue reaching the new generations.
“Boxing is a very noble sport, oriented to the family, where two fighters step into the ring to give it their all and at the end of the contest, they merge into a big hug. It is a sample of fair play, values, discipline and many more qualities that we want to transmit to the new generations.
“In general, our sport has a classic and deeply rooted audience, but it is essential to continue growing and reaching a new audience with the support of new technological tools, such as social networks.
“For two years we have been collaborating on a new video game full of realism. We have supported the production of television series and movies. We have also collaborated with promoters on digital platforms and all this set of actions has brought us closer to a new generation of followers.”
