Sorry seems to be the hardest word, as Italian Michael Magnesi defends his WBC Silver super featherweight title today in Rome.
His rival will be the Colombian Nike Theran, former WBC Latin champion, who lives and trains in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
Magnesi won the silver title on March 31st against the Argentine Ayrton Giménez. Therán, who is undefeated, comes to this fight after defeating Andres Perez by decision in Barranquilla, Colombia.
Michael has put himself through an exacting preparation for this fight, meticulously guided by Gesumino Aglioti and multiple champion Silvio Branco. The card is organized by A&B Events and the Magnesi Boxing Team of promoter Alessandra Branco, wife of champion Magnesi.At the official weigh-in both men proved to be in excellent shape:
