Luis Nery vs Azat Hovhannisyan, a war at 122 pounds

Two superlative super bantamweights, namely ranked #1 Luis “Pantera” Nery, will face ranked #2, Azat “Crazy A” Hovhannisyan, in an interesting World Boxing Council super bantamweight elimination duel in a 12-round bout, on Saturday February 18.

Luis Nery, from Tijuana, Mexico, has a record of 33 wins with 25 KO’s and 1 loss; he has been world champion in two divisions. Azat “Crazy A” Hovhannisyan, from Armenia has a record of 21 wins with 17 KO’s and 3 losses. This will be the second time he contests for the WBC super-bantamweight title.

The winner will be one step closer to a coveted opportunity to fight for the WBC 122pound world championship.
