On the undercard of the evening headlined by Canelo vs. Charlo, Erickson Lubin defeated Jesús “Mono” Ramos by decision to win the World Boxing Council Silver super welterweight title, at the T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada.
The fight stood out for its lack of intensity, there were few exchanges of blows, so there were close rounds.
Ramos looked for the fight more, throwing more punches and being more active, but Lubin stood out for his better mobility and accurate counterpunches.
Lubin won on the cards of the three Judges by 115-113, 116-112 and 117-111, improving his record to 26 wins and two losses, while Ramos lost his undefeated record to 20 wins and one loss.
