Long run aims of WBC
Every penny raised after the expenses of the sixth Jose Sulaiman Race of Champions in Mexico City are met, goes to WBC Cares, which counts on and propels great plus caring champions, visiting children in hospitals, orphanages and youth Centers, taking presents and imbuing the priceless gift of motivation, to fight for life and a better future.
Race Organizer Jose Manzur who attended the weekly World Boxing Council presser, especially praised the attendance of children with special needs at the event, who were presented with Scholars Occurents Certificates by Hector Sulaiman Jr. The persistence and determination of blind runners and the sheer tremendous fantastic and admirable courage of a runner who has one leg, but still competed on crutches, to complete the course, earning a tremendous ovation.
Suprema of WBC Cares Jill Diamond, took the podium at the Rail Workers Union in Mexico City, to thank all those who help in so many different ways. She said all the efforts are geared to helping youth towards a brighter future. She said the boxers who volunteer their time free, are macho and tough in the ring, yet the visits which span one hundred and sixty six nations, give them the opportunity to show true heart, responsibility and dignity, explaining:
“We can change a life, and that changed life can change another life. Our boxers and helpers give freely of their true talents and their hearts. They do it for love. Continue looking at our website, and come and help us to help these wonderful children.”
