
South African Simphiwe Konco, mandatory challenger to the minimum title of the World Boxing Council, will fight the Thai champion Wanaheng Menayothin on October 25 in Chonburi, Thailand.
Konco (19-5; 7 Ko´s) has defeated rivals Siyabongo Siyo, Nkosinathi Joyi, Lito Dante and Toto Landero, by decision. His most recent fight against Joey Canoy ended in a “NO CONTEST” due to an accidental clash of heads.
The WBC champion, Menayothin, 33, has a 53-0 record with 18 Ko´s and has made 11 successful defenses of the WBC crown, since winning it in November 2014.
