
The Fight against bullying has been one of the most important social projects of the World Boxing Council, developing strategies to combat, neutralize and stamp out this social eyesore blight.
Motivated by the WBC Cares MX mission of service led by Christiane Manzur, KO Bullying continues to bring its message to the school community via the boxing family throughout Mexico.
On Tuesday, January 30, 2024, the program’s ambassador Beka Romero accompanied by the champion Juan Pablo “Pivi” Romero, arrived at the Xalatlaco boxing gym in the State of Mexico.
Combined, united, focused and determined, their aim is to empower young people in the region and help understand the importance of intervention to prevent bullying and address identified cases in time. In this way, coping strategies and tools are provided for the school community, parents, students, and all those who are involved in the psycho-emotional development of children and teenagers.
The KO Bullying Program started activities in January 2023 and since then, it has managed to reach more than 1,000 young people, boys and girls, in 12 schools and 2 boxing gyms.
In sports, true competition aims to improve yourself, to be competitive and show sportsmanship/sportswomanship. Together we can make a significant and a lasting difference against bullying.
