World Boxing Council super featherweight champion Miguel “Alacrán” Berchelt (36-1-0, 32 ko’s) will fight Jason ¨El Canito¨ Sosa (23-3-4, 16 ko’s) thus Saturday, in Carson, California, on a Top Rank, Zanfer Promotions and Max Boxing promotion, to be broadcast in Mexican territory by Azteca 7, the Boxing House and globally by ESPN.
Berchelt represented by Max Boxing CEO Mario Abraham and co-promoted with Zanfer Promotions of Fernando Beltrán looks great, needing to stay on course for 2020 with the likes Oscar Valdez, unifying titles and then going after Vasyl Lomachenko.
Sosa, meanwhile, after losing two consecutive fights in 2017 versus elite boxers Vasyl Lomachenko and Yuriorkis Gamboa, has won his three most recent fights, over Reynaldo Blanco, Moisés Delgadillo and Haskell Lydell Rhodes.
Complying with the WBC safety regulations, both fighters have successfully submitted their respective pre-weigh ins of 30, 14 and 7 day plus all the medicals required.
We greatly appreciate the commitment of these warriors and their respective teams to fulfill these vital requirements.
