With pleasure, WBC Cares and Matchroom are donating four tickets for the Katie Taylor Vs Chantelle Cameron super-lightweight Undisputed Championship fight Saturday night at the 3Arena in Dublin, to fourteen year old Emma Langan and her family.
Emma who is a third year student at Gortnor Abbey, Crossmolina, County Mayo has been diagnosed with leukaemia and is undergoing treatment. Her community who so love and admire her, have united to raise one hundred thousand euros in a GoFundMe initiative. Emma loves Gaelic Football and has played for the under 14`s Mayo Team and for the under sixteen St Brigid`s Team. She is displaying magnificent fighting spirit, uncomplaining humbling courage, fortitude and positive energy in her fight to overcome this terrible illness. Emma is a FIGHTER!
For Emma, Katie Taylor who is the Pride of Ireland is an idol and a brilliantly bright beacon of inspiration. A boxing superstar Katie also coincidently played Gaelic and Association soccer herself. Emma`s Dad Seamus and her sisters are in her corner. Her Mum Yvonne passed away from cancer in July 2019.
Emma is meeting with Katie, who in the tradition of WBC Cares, will hug her and encourage her to battle with all of her might, with absolutely everything she has. The prayers, good wishes and positive vibes of her family, friends, community, the World Boxing Council, Matchroom and the entire Boxing Family worldwide, is generating a sentiment of empowerment! It`s a monumental ongoing fight which will last longer than ten, two minute rounds, but God willing, willpower, true grit and medical expertise will pull Emma through this crisis to triumph over the ordeal, and in so doing, gain her Red Badge of Courage.
The Langan Family had requested two tickets to the Taylor/Cameron Spectacular. WBC Cares and Matchroom are doubling that. We are in your corner Emma!
