Mariana will be making the eighth defense of her crown at the Fair of Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua. Her attractive rival is Diana “La Bonita” Fernandez, a boxer who`s surging onwards and upwards, thanks to the supervision of Trainer Rubén Lira. This one promises to be hard fought, tempestuous, remarkable and memorable!
June 16: Mairis Briedis vs. Krzysztof Glowacki / Latvia
Mairis Briedis from Latvia and Krzysztof Glowacki from Poland, are ready to continue the quest not only to win on that night at the Riga Arena in Riga, Latvia, but also aiming for the Muhammad Ali Trophy in the 200-pound division, in order to advance to the Grand Final of the Cruiserweight World Boxing Super Series Tournament.
Briedis defeated German Noel Mikaelian to claim a place in the semifinal, while Glowacki took the victory against the Russian Maksim Vlasov.
June 16: Ilunga Makabu vs. Dmitry Kudryashov / Russia
Congolese boxer Ilunga Makabu and Russian Dmitry Kudryashov will clash for the vacant WBC silver cruiserweight title.
A fight that is expected to be a stern test of power, as Kudryashov seeks to notch his third consecutive win since losing to Yuniel Dorticos. However, Makabu, comes from a winning streak of five consecutive fights.
June 22: Jelena Mrdjenovich vs. Vissia Trovato / Canada
Jelena Mrdjenovich, who`s the female champion in the featherweight division, is ready to defend her crown at the Shaw Conference Center in Edmonton Canada, against Italian Vissia Trovato who wishes to avenge the defeat she suffered on 8 March versus Mexican Erika Cruz Hernández. Jelena is vowing that the title stays anchored at home, predicting a KO.
June 23: Julio Ceja vs. Guillermo Rigondeaux / Nevada
Mexico against Cuba, between two former world champions, with Julio Ceja Vs Guillermo Rigondeaux. The match will take place on June 23 at the Mandalay Bay Casino in Las Vegas and it will be an elimination duel in the super bantam division.
Julio, who is known for his punching power, arrives at this commitment with a record of 32 wins, 28 knockouts and three defeats. While Guillermo, who`s a gold medalist in the Olympic Games of Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004, is now slouch! He has a record of 18 fights won, 12 by KO´s a and a single setback. Both seek a title opportunity. Only one will secure it this time around.
June 29: Jermall Charlo vs. Brandon Adams / Texas
WBC interim middleweight champion Jermall Charlo, will face American Brandon Adams in what is expected to be a great fight, which will take place at the NRG Arena in Houston.
Charlo who remains unbeaten with a record of 28 fights predicts it won`t go the distance. He is also determined to improve on his last fight against Matt Korobov, in which he didn`t shine as he usually does.
