Undisputed and undefeated super lightweight champion, and Great Scot Josh Taylor, is scheduled to face also undefeated British Jack Catterall on December 18 at The SSE Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland.
The 30-year-old Scottish champion unified all four titles when he defeated José Carlos Ramírez in May, sending him to the canvas twice, for a unanimous decision victory.
With this triumph, Taylor (18-0, 13 KOs) established himself not only as the best super lightweight in the world, but also as one of the best pound-for-pound fighters today.
Catterall (26-0, 13 KOs) has waited a long time for his first title shot. He had planned to face Taylor before, but stepped aside to allow the Taylor vs. Ramirez.
The 28-year-old Englishman is left-handed, like Taylor, and his most notable victory was in 2018 over Ohara Davies.
