“Jo Jo” Díaz gets ready to face Fortuna
Former Californian world champion Joseph “Jo Jo” Díaz Jr. (31-1-1, 15 KOs), will face former Dominican champion Javier “Abejón” Fortuna (36-2-1, 25 KOs), with the WBC Interim Lightweight title at stake, on July 9 in Los Angeles, California.
Javier Fortuna was originally scheduled to face Ryan Garcia, but the fight was cancelled when Ryan reported he would take some time in order to take care of his mental health.
Díaz, who makes his debut in the 135 pounds division, is undergoing a great preparation, as he knows the importance of this commitment and the quality of his rival.
The fight is presented by Golden Boy Promotions and will be broadcast on DAZN.
