Next September 30, as part of the undercard Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez vs. Jermell Charlo, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, Erickson “Hammer” Lubin will face the undefeated Jesús “Mono” Ramos for the World Boxing Council Silver super welterweight title.
Lubin comes into this fight after knocking out Luis Arias in the fifth round in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
For his part, Ramos has just defeated Joseph Spencer by knockout at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Lubin is motivated by this fight, and if he comes out with his hand raised he will win the WBC Super Welterweight Silver title, putting him one step away from challenging for the world crown.
“My mentality has not changed, I keep a resentment on my shoulder. I’m going into this fight very hungry. I have a young and hungry child in front of me, but I am also young and hungry. You can expect fireworks on September 30. I will look to win and enter the big fights against the best in the division,” Lubin commented.
“The clash with Arias was a good comeback fight. I knew that because of the way he trained, he would dominate him. My goal is another declarative victory. “I’m looking for a big victory, I’m going with everything for the victory.”
“Ramos is a really solid fighter. In his last fight I thought he looked good, but I’m not Joey Spencer. “I am one of the best in the division.” “I don’t downplay Ramos’ importance, but I’m sure I’m going to defeat him and win the WBC Silver title.”
