“Guerrera” & “Mago”  inaugurate the WBC Amateur “Green and Gold” Tournament

Starring legendary Ana María ” Guerrera” Torres, and former world champion Isaac Bustos and Miguel Angel Gonzalez, the inauguration of the amateur tournament “Verde y Oro” of the WBC Amateur sphere this Friday, at Deportivo Huayamilpas in the Coyoacán City Hall.

120 fighters from Baja California, Jalisco, the State of Mexico and Mexico City will participate in the tournament, so a keen competitive level is expected this weekend.

WBC Amateur reported that the participating categories are: Children, from 13 to 14 years, Youth from 15 to 17 years and Elite from 18 to 32 years, all from the amateur field. The qualification system will be direct elimination.

On the first day of activities today,  two rings for the participation of 120 boxers, on Saturday, June 3, the semifinals and on Sunday, June 4, the finals to find the champions of the “Green and Gold” tournament. ” which has the support of the WBC Amateur.

The heads of the delegations are: Monroy González, for Baja California; Cesar Flores, from Jalisco; Gonzalo Vivar for the State of Mexico and Ricardo Morales for the capital of the Mexican Republic.

Professor José Luis Barrera will be the director of ring officials.

For this first WBC Amateur “Green and Gold” tournament, the boxers will use gloves and sportswear from the international brand Seyer.
