Tlaxcala will present a historic fight on July 27. Under the leadership of Lorena Cuellar Cisneros, governor of the state of Tlaxcala, the card will not only promote the sport but also the culture, discipline and values inherent to boxing.
For this reason, the presentation of the WBC Green and Gold Museum was planned, which contains more than 100 historical pieces for boxing. The exhibition will take place at the Museum of Tolerance located in the central area of Tlaxcala, completely free.
The museum includes belts, autographed gloves, robes, shorts and boots worn by great world champions. Among the most representative pieces that the public will be able to see in this exhibition, the glove autographed by Muhammad Ali in 1978 stands out.
This exhibition also shares the evolution of the belt over the years, including a First Generation Belt of the Panamanian Roberto Durán “Manos de Piedra” and the third generation belt worn by Mike Tyson in 2015.
Of the pieces presented in this exhibition, various commemorative belts stand out, which are given to the winners of the best fights around May 5 and September 16.
In this exhibition also The belts worn by Ibeth “La Roca” Zamora and Ana María Torres “La Guerrera” stand out, both legendary champions of the World Boxing Council. Among the original pieces are the robes of Julio César Chávez, Raúl “El Ratón” Macías, Salvador Sánchez; Jorge “Travieso” Arce and Floyd Mayweather Jr. In addition, the exhibition has a giant belt.
