Frank exchange gleans Sanchez KO in nine 

Cuba`s Frank Sanchez (21-0, 14 KO`s) TKO`d Puerto Rico`s Carlos Negron (25-4, 20KO`s) with a display of heavyweight patience and power in nine, at the Barclays Centre in Brooklyn, New York.

Six feet six inches Carlos used his three inches height advantage and a longer reach to throw and land a lot of left jabs, but his follow up rights didn`t carry the same potency. Powerful well-muscled Frank`s always carried more clout and his attacks had Carlos in trouble several times before the concluding onslaught. Frank`s attempted cross arms defence… courtesy of “Mongoose” Archie Moore was not very successful, but having veteran Jose Goosen in his corner was a boon.

In round nine Frank threw a big left, which created the opening and a huge ensuing right put Carlos through the ropes and dropped him to his knees. He somehow got up but Big Frank was in no mood to let him off the hook. Another huge right found its mark and Referee Ricky Gonzalez stepped in to save Carlos at one minute thirty-six seconds. He`s going to need some stitches in a deep cut to the bridge of his nose.
