WBC atomweight world champion Fabiana Bytyqi (19-0-2, 5 KOs) will take on Elizabeth Lopez Corzo (10-5-5, 1 KOs) of Mexico in a rematch this Saturday night, at Brno, Czech Republic.
The 27-year-old undefeated champion with roots in Kosovo, Fabiana Bytyqi, won the vacant WBC world title in September 2018, when she outpointed British challenger Denisa Castle.
She defended the belt for the first time in April 2019 through a tied duel with Mexican boxer María Vargas. In December of the same year she defended the belt for the second time, when she defeated Ana Arrazola of Mexico by decision.
After that, Fabiana won four non-title fights and defended her world title for the third time last July with a draw in her bout with Mexico’s Lopez, with a judges score of 97:94 – 96:96. and 96:97.
This Friday both warriors passed the official weigh-in of the billboard. Bytyqi registered 102.5 pounds, while Lopez Corzo was 102.8 pounds.
