O’Shaquie Foster will defend his World Boxing Council super featherweight world title against Eduardo ‘Rocky’ Hernández at the Benito Juárez Sports Center in Cancun, Quintana Roo, Mexico, on Saturday, October 28, which will be broadcast live globally on DAZN.
Three big hitter Mexican Promoters are pooling their experience, organizational skills and pizzazz in a grand alliance to make this the greatest show on earth. They are in no particular order: Cancun Boxing, Boxing Time and Promociones Del Pueblo.
Foster (20-2 11 KOs) earned the Green and Gold Belt in San Antonio, Texas last February, becoming the first fighter to defeat Mexican Rey Vargas on points, to become world champion. The Houston fighter faces a Mexican test of TNT furnace firepower in his first defense.
“Rocky” Hernandez (34-1, 31 KOs) earned his shot against Foster thanks to a meteor streak of KO victories, recording his sixth straight victory with a third-round KO over Hector Garcia in Monterrey last July.
Today, at our Weekly Press Conference: Coffee Tuesday, the lowdown for this high point in a paradise location were announced.
