Fabulous Fabi successfully defends WBC title

This Saturday in Sono, Brno, Czech Republic, WBC atom champion, Fabiana Bytyqi, defeated Mexican Elizabeth López Corzo by unanimous decision in a rematch.

Both drew in July of last year, however, this time around the champion was appreciably better focused and she dominated most of the fight.

Lopez showed confidence, but although she tried to close the distance for a melee, Bytyqi’s jab kept her at arm’s length, and thus at bay.

Bytyqi took the victory thanks to her fast hands and greater boxing intelligence, which helped her to dissipate the pressure presented by the Mexican.
