On June 18, Mexico City is ready to break a Guinness record with a massive boxing class.
An initiative that not only seeks to break a Guinness Record, but also sends a message to the world that Mexico is a country of boxing and sports, of unity, but above all of passion.
Paola Jiménez, class coordinator, stated that this event is product of the combined work of many people, who continue with the strategy of making Mexico City the sportiest, promoting sports as the best ally to make a healthier society.
She thanked legends, Ana María Torres and Mariana Juárez who will be in charge of leading the class and guiding the more than 30 thousand people who have already registered for this great challenge.
Paola formally presented the participant kit to our guests, which includes a shirt, a hat and a chip with the number.
She clarified that the shirts come in three different colors (green, white and red) because the idea is to form a large mosaic with the Mexican flag, at Zócalo Plaza.
She also commented that it is very important that all the participants review the manual and the dynamic of the class, because the rules of the Guinness Record are very strict and that is that for every 50 participants there will be a Guinness record certified monitor and if someone stops during 30 minutes of exercise, they will be disqualified, and if we reach 10% of participants disqualified immediately we will lose the record.
The class must start at 8:00 in the morning sharp, so she asks everyone to arrive at 6:30 in the morning, because not starting on time will also be subjected to disqualification.
The delivery of kits will be on the 13th, 14th and 15th at the baseboard from 10 in the morning to 2 in the afternoon.
Inspired but also a little nervous, Ana and Mariana thanked the organizers for thinking of them to be the ones to lead the class, a responsibility they assume with great pleasure and total commitment, because if they want anything, it is for Mexico to make history and break that record.
Certain that boxing will once again raise the name of our country, our women’s boxing pioneers have prepared thoroughly in these last two weeks studying the manual and the routine to make it as simple as possible for all attendees.
