World Boxing Council Fly World Champion, Englishman Charlie Edwards, defeated Spanish challenger Angel Moreno without any major problem, in the first defense of his crown, organized by Matchroom Boxing , at the Copper Box Arena in London, England.
Edwards was superior at all times over Moreno, who couldn`t overcome the better technical quality of the British fighter.
Edwards won 120-107 on all three cards of the judges, confirming his outstanding quality. Moreno had problems from the very beginning, with Edwards who was throwing and landing far more precise punches. Edwards sent Moreno to the canvas in the eighth round, but he managed to get up and fight on. With this result, Edwards improves his record to 15-1, with 12 knockouts, while Moreno is now 19-3-2, with 6 knockouts.
