Boxing legends Julio César Chávez and Jorge “Travieso” Arce will face each other in an exhibition for altruistic purposes, on March 7, at the Multiple Use Center in Hermosillo, Sonora.
Their first: Respect Your Elders Exhibition dust up in November, was organized to raise funds for the benefit of the young boxer Christian Castillo, who suffered an injury during training session. This chapter number two
will have the backing of three fights of World Boxing Council affiliate titles, plus nine more bouts of quality prospects.
The card presented by Zanfer Promotions and 2M Promotions will be for the benefit of the JC Chavez Foundation helping young people to overcome addiction through the successful program that promotes mental health in society, boosted by the Ministry of Health of the Government from the State of Sonora chaired by Enrique Claussen.
The fact that the event will be televised throughout Mexico by Azteca 7, is an extra motivation for fighters who are folklore heroes. As magnificent back up, undefeated knockout artist Omar “Pollo” Aquilar (16-0-0, 15 ko’s) will defend his youth Super lightweight world title plus top prospect David “Rey” Picasso (13-0, 5 ko’s), will be defending his WBC super bantam youth belt.
In another interesting fight for the FECARBOX Feather belt endorsed by the WBC, Bryan “Latino” Acosta (13-0-0, 7 ko’s) will put on the line his undefeated record against the experienced Jesus “Jibarito” Ortega (17-4-0, 11 ko’s) .
