Dublin suits Taylor and Cameron

Katie Taylor has the chance to become the undisputed two-weight world champion, when she takes on undisputed super lightweight world champion Chantelle Cameron in a historic homecoming bout at the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland on Saturday, May 20.

Taylor (22-0, 6 KOs) will fight in her homeland of Ireland for the first time in her professional career, as she looks to create even more history and further establish herself as one of the greatest fighters, by taking on Cameron from England.

Taylor defeated Amanda Serrano in an epic, iconic and so memorable night at a sold-out Madison Square Garden in New York last April.
It was the first female boxing match to headline the famed MSG in its 140-year history, drawing an unprecedented audience of 1.5 million tuning in to DAZN worldwide. The fighters were set for a rematch in Dublin on May 20 until Serrano suffered an unfortunate injury.

Northampton’s Cameron (17-0, 8 KOs) achieved her lifelong dream by defeating American Jessica McCaskill for the undisputed crown at 140lbs at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates last November.
Cameron captured the famous WBC 140lb Green and Gold Belt, by defeating Brazil’s Adriana dos Santos Arauja at the Marshall Arena in Milton Keynes in October 2020.

Chantelle was sensational when she stopped Puerto Rico’s Melissa Hernandez in five blistering rounds during her first crown defence the following year in her US debut at the Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas.

The 31-year-old then added the IBF title to her collection by beating Indiana’s Mary McGee in an action-packed main event at the O2 Arena in London in October 2021 before defending her titles with another unanimous decision points win over Victory. Noelia Bustos in May of last year.
