Dr Paul Wallace who spearheads the World Boxing Council`s Medical Advisory Board, and has been described as The Dean of Ringside Physicians, is being awarded a major recognition, lauding his skills, vision, leadership and humanity.
WBC Black Lives Matter make the award, but Dr Wallace`s care and attention extends far beyond that to each and every life. He has devoted his career and his life to helping and healing patients.
From LA, Dr Wallace went to Harvard Medical School, did his Internship in General Surgery, his Graduate Training in Dermatology and a Fellowship in Reconstructive and Plastic Surgery in Los Angeles. He is a Member of the US Army Reserve, specializing in Military Trauma and Wound Ballistics. He is based in Beverly Hills.
Dr Wallace is the Chairman of the World Boxing Council Medical Advisory Board, Chairman of the WBC Muay Thai Medical Advisory Board, Chief Ringside Physician of the California State Athletic Commission, Vice President and Board Member of the American Association of Professional Ringside Physicians. He started the “Second Chance Tattoo Removal Program,” a scar free procedure for all types of skin: “Looks matter.”
Dr Paul Wallace`s Work with the World Boxing Council, has revolutionized sports medicine taking it to higher levels, dimensions and echelons. He leads and coordinates a team of specialists who investigate, delve, probe, assess and recommend courses of action, which are absolutely vital to the everyday health and post career future wellbeing of men and women boxers.
A diversity of issues under their microscope focus, including the time duration of rounds for women`s boxing, time span of championship bouts, extreme dehydration, weight management, regular MRI`s, sparring registries, individual career longevity, zero tolerance of rabbit punches, standardization of boxing gloves. The list increases… as the care and attention for the Sport`s hands on participants improves, diversifies intensifies and improves.
