Former champion David Lemieux announced his retirement from the ring through his social media, and his promoter, Eye Of The Tiger Management, expressed their sincere thanks to Lemieux and wish to pay tribute to his enormously successful career.
Lemieux has had intense and phenomenal fights. Beyond his stellar performances, his 43 wins in 48 fights, his 36 KOs and his 200 rounds, David is first and foremost a warrior whose courage and perseverance have made him a source of inspiration.
“I have accomplished a lot over the course of my career. I achieved my dream of becoming a world champion, I have given exciting fights to the fans by accepting every challenge that came my way. I dedicated my life to training, to boxing, and now I want to cherish every minute with my family. I accomplished a lot, but I didn’t do it alone. I want to take this opportunity to thank all the fans who have supported and cheered me on throughout my career. Thanks to all my work team,” commented Lemieux.
