The WBC bridgerweight title will be contested for the first time on October 22nd.
Oscar Rivas (27-1-0; 19KO’s) and Ryan Rozicki (13-0; 13KO’s will step into the ring at the L’Olympia in Montreal, Canada, a renovated venue that has maintained its captivating prestige.
Rivas comes from knocking out Sylvera Louis in the third episode, last March in the city of Quedec, Canada.
Undefeated Rozicki, comes from defeating the same rival in April of this year.
The WBC recently created the Bridgerweight division, which ranges from the upper limit of the 200lb / 90kg Cruiserweight division to 224lb / 101kg.
On the same card, Canadian welterweight Sébastien Bouchard (19-2-0, 8 KOs) faces Mexican welterweight Sergio “Checo” Ortega (24-2-0, 18 KOs), in an eight-round match.
The fight, which is co-promoted by Daniel Otter (Three Lions Promotions) and Yvon Michel (GYM Promotions), will be televised on ESPN +.
