COMEDEP announces support for the Mexican Government position

The Mexican Sports Council (COMEDEP) announces its whole hearted support for the exploration and fruitful resolution of the situation concerning current commercial, migratory and security issues.

This combines and involves main Councils, Leagues, Federations, Associations and sports clubs throughout Mexico including the Mexican Olympic Movement, consolidated by Mauricio Sulaiman Saldivar, who`s also leader of the World Boxing Council (WBC).

In its Ordinary Session it ratified support and solidarity to the Mexican State and its Government concerning the current pressures the National Government is facing and embracing.

Mauricio Sulaiman praised the efforts of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador and his negotiating team. He highlighted the fact that sport in all its endeavors, has been a bridge of communication, fairness and common sense, spanning ideological, religious, political, social and economic differences.

COMEDEP will continue making efforts to recognize the history and progression of sports, with constructive contributions for the creation and establishment of public policies, designed and intended to benefit Mexican society.
