Legendary boxer, two-time Olympic gold medalist and multiple world champion, Claressa Shields, visited the Detroit Lions training camp in Detroit’s Allen Park.
On this visit, Claressa had the opportunity to meet important people, such as Detroit Lions owner Sheila Ford Hamp, head coach Dan Campbell, former professional wrestler Hulk Hogan and several players on the team.
Shields will move up to the heavyweight division to face WBC champion Vanessa Lepage-Joanisse at the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan, next Saturday.
Shields won gold medals in the middleweight division at the 2012 and 2016 Olympics, making her the first female boxer from the United States to win consecutive Olympic medals.
She has also been a middleweight and super middleweight champion, showing her great quality and superiority in each of these divisions.
Valient Vanessa comes to this fight after being crowned WBC heavyweight champion by defeating Argentina’s Abril Vidal by decision in March.o.
