Former World Boxing Council flyweight champion Charlie Edwards has signed a multi-fight deal with Hall of Fame promoter Frank Warren.
Charlie joins his brother Sunny at the Queensberry Promotions camp and believes it is only a matter of time before they can both contest a world title.
He commented: “I was with Eddie Hearn for six years and I needed to renew things. I feel like this is the next chapter in my career. I’ve seen what Frank has done for my brother Sunny. He has done very well from the beginning.”
Charlie (15-1, 6KOs) will continue his career as a bantamweight or super flyweight career, where he is currently ranked.
Charlie vacated his WBC world crown after struggling to shed weight to make the division limit against Julio César Martínez last August, in a match that ended in No Contest (No decision).
“The next fight is likely to be an indicator to see where I am at my best weight. The main thing is to maintain my world ranking at super fly.”
