The fighter from Zambia, Catherine Phiri, will fight for the interim super bantamweight title of the World Boxing Council against Kudakwashe Chiwendre from Zimbabwe, at the Government Complex in Lusaka, Zambia.
Phiri (16-4-0, 10Ko’s) will step into the ring for the first time since 2019, when she lost to Kenya’s Fatuma Zarika in the WBC bantamweight title fight in Nairobi.
Chiwendre (4-2-1, 4 KO’s), comes from a draw in Zimbabwe against Patience Mastara, in May of last year.
